How to create a desktop website shortcut in Microsoft Edge

To create a desktop shortcut for a website in Microsoft Edge, simply drag the website address from the address bar to your desktop

 

Create a Desktop Shortcut by Dragging the Website Address

  1. Open the website in Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click and hold the lock icon (or site information icon) next to the website address in the address bar.
  3. Drag the icon to your desktop and release the mouse button.
  4. A shortcut to the website will be created on your desktop.
  5. To rename the shortcut, right-click the icon, select Rename, and enter the desired name.
