How to show and pin the Favorites bar in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge Favorites are digital bookmarks that allow you to save frequently used websites for quick and easy access. There are several ways to display your favorites in Microsoft Edge. You can use the Favorites panel, which appears on the side of the browser, or you can choose to display your favorites permanently on the Favorites bar at the top of the browser window.


If your Favorites bar is set to display at the top of the browser but is no longer visible, you can restore it by following these steps: Select the three dots (...) in the upper-right corner, then go to Settings > Appearance > Show favorites bar and change the setting to Always.



Here is How to Set Up Your Favorites in Microsoft Edge

Option 1: Pin the Favorites Pane

  1. Click the three dots (Settings and more) in the upper-right corner of Edge.
  2. Select Favorites (or press Ctrl + Shift + O).
  3. Click the pin icon in the upper-right corner of the Favorites pane to keep it open on the side of the browser window.
  4. To close the pane, click the X in the upper-right corner.

 

Option 2: Always Show the Favorites Bar

  1. Open Edge and click the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Appearance from the left menu.
  4. Scroll to the Customize toolbar section.
  5. Under Show favorites bar, select the drop-down menu and choose Always.
